Attend the Planning Director Hearing Live on Zoom

To observe the Planning Director Hearing streaming live on Zoom, visit https://vcrma.org/en/planning-director-hearing-agendas and click on the Planning Director Agenda for the date of the hearing you wish to view. The Zoom meeting link and phone in information are provided on the Agenda.

Note: From time to time, hearings are canceled or rescheduled. We recommend that you contact the case planner to confirm the public hearing date one day prior. Streaming and remote public participation are provided as a public convenience. In the event of technical difficulties experienced during a meeting, streaming and remote participation may be limited or discontinued, although the meeting itself may continue with the Planning Director taking subsequent final actions.

Documents, including staff reports, comment emails, and letters, photos, etc., distributed to the Planning Director regarding any agenda item during an open session or after the meeting concluded, are posted online and made available for public inspection at https://vcrma.org/en/planning-director-hearing-agendas.

Attend the Planning Director Hearing in person

All Planning Director hearings are conducted on Zoom. Any person is privileged to attend in person to provide comments on this matter. If you wish to attend the hearing in person, this request should be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing by calling (805) 654-2478 or in writing to Luz Jauchon, Administrative Assistant, at luz.jauchon@ventura.org or by mail to the Resource Management Agency- Planning Division, Attention: Luz Jauchon, Administrative Assistant at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura CA 93009-1740.

Public Comment

Public comment is the opportunity for members of the public to participate in meetings by addressing the Planning Director in connection with one or more Agenda or non-agenda items.

To maintain a public meeting environment conducive and welcoming to receiving public comments from all members of the public, the audience is discouraged from engaging in displays of support or opposition to staff reports or public comments, including clapping, yelling, booing, hissing or cheering, that may create a disruptive environment for members of the public wishing to participate. Any person who disrupts or impedes the orderly conduct of a meeting will be instructed to cease the disruptive conduct. Failure to do so may result in that person being removed from the meeting.

Public comments may be provided using the following options:

  • In Advance of Hearing – If you wish to submit your comments in advance of the hearing, it is strongly encouraged that they be submitted by 3:30 p.m. one day prior to the hearing. Please address email to the designated case planner and indicate in the subject line of your email the case number on which you are commenting. Your email will be distributed to the case planner and placed into the item’s administrative record at the Planning Director hearing.

    *To locate the name of the case planner assigned for the agenda item of interest, please refer to the Planning Director Agenda at https://vcrma.org/en/planning-director-hearing-agendas and click on the Planning Director Agenda for the date of the hearing you wish to view.

  • In-Person During Hearing – If you wish to make a comment in person, you must be present at the hearing and provide your comment during the public comment period for the item you wish to speak on.
  • Zoom Interpretive Services During Hearing – if you wish to listen and participate in Spanish using video during the hearing, please contact (805) 654‑2805.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT ASSISTANCE
