Mountain View Organic Waste Processing Facility 

The Ventura County Environmental Health Division announces a public informational meeting on November 2, 2023, at 6:30 PM, at the Oxnard Public Library, regarding the revised Solid Waste Facility Permit for the Mountain View Organic Waste Processing Facility (MVOWPF) in Oxnard, CA. The facility, operated by California Wood Recycling, Inc., dba Agromin, proposes transitioning from an animal feed manufacturing operation to an onsite aerobic in-vessel digestion (composting) for processing food, organic waste, and mixed materials. No changes in tonnage, vehicle trips, or operation hours are proposed. The project, deemed Categorically Exempt from CEQA, aims for a formal determination within 120 days of permit application completeness, noted on October 6, 2023.
